Changing Times

Brookfield Craft Center, where I taught for 9 yrs is closing its doors. I will be teaching 2 classes at the Washington Craft Center, Ct. in July and Aug.
Lyndhurst Art show was good, with nice weather and buyers turning out for one of a kind art. Looking forward to Paradise City, Northampton, Mass, at the end of this month. New work includes sculptural Talismans, like "The Sea Talisman", shown here.
I'm still teaching private classes, and may be creating group workshops, in my studio, for the fall.

Touchstone

Here's a sample of my new Touchstone series. This is titled Goddess Touchstone, with my original solar plate textures, and shaped over an actual stone. It hangs from fine silver shaped from a bone, with a luscious green tourmaline overlooking all. Aquamarine and tourmaline beads accent the sterling chain. More to come as I wait for a snowy nor'easter to roll in.

Brookfield Craft Center

Teaching is in full swing. I've had private classes in my home, and the last week-end of January will find me at Brookfield Craft Center, teaching a Basic PMC class. All new people will start on the wondrous adventure of creating textured pure Fine Silver works of original art with the amazing Precious Metal Clay. Mold it, form it, texture it, and fire it in a kiln at 1650 for 10 min, and you end up with a pure Fine Silver piece of jewelry.

Living on the Edge

I find myself working in a different way. I go staight to the workbench and start to arrange colors, textures, maybe a sketch, but it's more like creating in the moment. Very interesting way to work, and I feel like a collaborator with the materials.

Commissioned Cuffs

I've made two 18ga, etched, sterling cuff bracelets for a client. I'm able to draw out the desired names & symbols, adher it to heavy sterling, acid etch for 10 hrs., shape in the hydraulic press, and patina. I also engraved chosen verses on the back. Perfect one of a kind gifts.

Blue Moon of December

A gorgeous brilliant December full moon, shining on frost covered woods, on a crystal clear night: New England doesn't get much better than this. Plus, the second full moon will glow New Years Eve. Cool!!!
