New Mac

Learning, arranging, connecting, clearing, putting all in order for my new Mac!! It's exciting. Now to order a new printer. I feel I'm expanding my horizons. And isn't that what Life is all About?? Expanding, growing, becoming more than you were. Should be an everyday occurrence. Image is one portrait done my my good friends Kathy & Lou during the last visit to Chicago. Cool.

Halloween Storm 2011

We had 17" of heavy, wet snow here in western Connecticut, that smashed any tree and bush with leaves on it. This is the calm after the storm. 60 degree days now are so relished!!

Doing Istanbul

We're walking, and walking, and now for Mahmutpasa Yokusu, the street of a thousand shops, on the way to the Grand Bazaar! In the GB we discovered Kerem, the man with the coolest Astrology devices used for navigating. What a treasure! Pic of me on the balcony at Topkapi Palace. We love this place!

Istanbul Hippodrome

Turkish Taffee Vendor

Obelisks and Minarets in Hippodrome

Road to Archaeological Museum
The Ancient Hippodrome in Istanbul is a park gathering place for Everybody! Vendors sell some hot, filled pita bread, corn on the cob, and of course, Turkish Taffee! It's right down the street from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We always felt SAFE, accepted, and welcomed.

Istanbul

Istanbul
What a great memorable 25th Anniversary experience. Fountains are found all over the city for refreshing your face, washing hand, feet.
Dome of the Blue Mosque, called that because of the intricate blue inlaid tiles.

Istanbul

Just returned from a wondrous adventure to Istanbul, Crete, and Athens. Narrow cobblestone streets led us to Byzantine Churches, amazing museums, and truly ancient ruins. A dream come true. I love Hagia Sophia, Church of the Holy Wisdom that is now a museum, in Istanbul. Great to actually see the many images I studied so long ago in Art History classes.

Power & Energy

Still 5400 people without power in New Milford, and possibly will not have it until Saturday! Even though we dodged the bullet, Protecting ourselves with a propane generator is next on our list. Keep seeing the power on, streets clear, river down, and trees standing. Thoughts are power. We're all in this together. Image is "She Who Watches Over" done during the storm.

Thoughts

Your Thoughts Today create your tomorrow, especially when it comes to weather! Everyone, see Irene going out to sea and dissipating. Think GOOD THOUGHTS for the East Coast. Image is "Brother Wind" from my life as a painter.

Quote: "The threads of circumstance that lead to tomorrow are so tenuous that all the fussing and worrying about decisions is futile compared to the pure randomness of existence. And I must admit I like that. I like it that my career has all the predictability and continuity of a children's nonsense rhyme." And I like that, too!!! Intuition

Art has always been the way for me to touch deeply into my intuition. Shift your inner landscape and see the changes happen in "ordinary" reality. Living the Creative Life Workshops and Wabi Sabi Saturdays bring people to that inner space where all the answers lie. Check out www.patgullettdesigns.com for more.

Wabi Sabi Saturdays

Wabi Sabi Saturdays will be starting up again Oct 8, and continuing every other week-end to Dec. 17th. Each class takes an element of the Wabi Sabi way of life, an ancient Japanese approach to viewing life in all its imperfections, had a demo of some artistic technique, and time to create an original work of art. Each class presents new media and new experiences. All are geared to the fun of creating that resides deep within our joyous souls. Join a gathering of like minded adventurers for a morning of hands on creativity. Each class runs from 9-1:00, with time for sharing at the end. See www.patgullettdesigns.com for more info.

Creative Life Workshops: Life is an Art Project!

Life is Change. Every nine years I seem to shift my focus. After teaching high school art for many years, I created & sold mixed media art, moved to Connecticut and created/sold/taught jewelery making, and now I'm combining all experiences from my past into Creative Life Workshops. Check it out at www.patgullettdesigns.com. We start with a life focus, create an art piece about it, and write the story of the piece. Art enables you to dive deep, create changes to your inner life, and come back in a new way, in a new NOW. Experience the Journey. Life is an Art Project.
